This is the re-issue of the 5th October 2012 single with the correct version of the A side. The original release had the bug of featuring a version of Love Me Do with Andy White on drums. It was also included in the album Please Please Me. EMI reissued the single on 22nd October with the version of Love Me Do that features Ringo on drums, although the B Side still carries the wrong catalogue # R 4714.

This release has BC91232-01A etched in the run-out groove of the A Side, but retains BC88258-01B1 etched in the run-out groove of the B Side as per the 5th October release. This release has shinier/glossier silver print on the label which is much clearer. The playback sound level is quieter than the 5th October release.

It is possible to distinguish between both versions (incorrect and correct) not only by labels. The first version (wrong) with Andy White has darker and more matte labels. The Ringo Starr version has brighter, glossier labels and a much lighter font.

The matrix number will help you accurately determine the correct version with Ringo Starr. On the corrected singles, it on side A is numbered BC91232-01A1 on the trailing edge, not BC88258-01A1.

By the way, the sound of Love Me Do on both versions is also different. On the version with Andy White, which was included in the Please Please Me album, the sound is louder and clearer. Love Me Do with Ringo sounds more hollow, as if the highs have been cut.

Це перевидання синґлу від 5 жовтня 2012 року з правильною версією сторони А. Початковий випуск мав помилку - він представляв версію Love Me Do з Енді Уайтом на барабанах. Вона ж і увійшла до альбому Please Please Me. EMI перевидала сингл 22 жовтня з версією Love Me Do, в якій Рінго грає на барабанах, хоча на стороні B, як і раніше, вказано невірний каталожний номер R 4714.

У цьому випуску матричний номер BC91232-01A вигравіруваний на збігу доріжок на стороні A, але зберігся номер BC88258-01B1, вигравіруваний на збігу доріжок сторони B, як у випуску від 5 жовтня. Цей випуск має більш блискучий срібний шрифт на етикетці, який набагато чіткіший. Рівень звуку при відтворенні тихіший, ніж у версії від 5 жовтня.

Розрізнити обидві версії (неправильну і правильну) можна не тільки за етикетками. Перша версія (неправильна) з Енді Уайтом має більш темні та матові етикетки. Версія з Рінго Старром має більш яскраві та глянцеві етикетки, а шрифт набагато світліший.

Безпомилково визначити правильну версію з Рінго Старром допоможе матричний номер. На виправлених синґлах він на стороні А має номер BC91232-01A1 на збігу доріжок, а не BC88258-01A1.

До речі, звучання Love Me Do на обох версіях також різне. На версії з Енді Уайтом, яка увійшла до альбому Please Please Me, звук більш дзвінкий і чіткий. Love Me Do з Рінго звучить глухіше, немов верхні частоти зрізані.
